Run Analytics on Live MySQL Data Without ETL
MySQL HeatWave adds an in-memory query accelerator, machine learning, and lakehouse queries to Oracle's managed MySQL service. Our consultants help teams decide where it fits, size and load the cluster, and move reporting workloads onto it.
What We Deliver
Many teams copy MySQL data into a separate warehouse just to run reports, adding pipelines, delay, and cost. HeatWave can run those queries against current transactional data instead. We identify which workloads benefit, prove it with your own queries, and plan the move.
HeatWave offloads complex analytical queries from InnoDB to an in-memory, massively parallel cluster, so reports and dashboards run on live data without a nightly extract.
AutoML trains, tunes, and explains machine learning models through SQL calls inside the database, so teams can build forecasts and classifiers without moving data to a separate platform.
HeatWave Lakehouse queries CSV, Parquet, and other files in object storage alongside MySQL tables, using the same SQL and the same cluster, without a separate warehouse load.
We use HeatWave Autopilot recommendations for cluster size, data encoding, and data placement, then check them against your query patterns before relying on them in production.
Our Approach
We profile your MySQL reporting workload and pick the queries and tables that stand to gain the most from HeatWave acceleration.
We load a representative data set into a HeatWave cluster and run your real queries, comparing results and response times against the current platform.
We size the cluster with Autopilot guidance, choose which tables to load, and set up the service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or AWS.
We move reports and dashboards to HeatWave, monitor performance, and help you decommission ETL jobs and warehouse tables that are no longer used.
HeatWave is Oracle's managed MySQL service with an added in-memory analytics engine. Transactions still run in InnoDB, while qualifying analytical queries are sent to the HeatWave cluster automatically. Standard MySQL has no equivalent engine.
Usually not. HeatWave uses standard MySQL SQL, and the optimizer decides which queries to offload. We check which of your queries qualify and adjust the few that do not.
For reporting that draws mainly on MySQL data, it often can. If your warehouse combines many sources or supports heavy data engineering, HeatWave may complement it rather than replace it. The proof of concept answers this with your data.
